Field Installation & Commissioning Guidance
Power off chassis power before inserting module, insert into empty slot and lock front latch firmly. Set IP address via rotary switch, BOOT‑DHCP tool or built‑in web configuration page. Import correct module profile inside Studio 5000 hardware configuration, match firmware version requirement. Use CAT5e shielded Ethernet cable for industrial cabinet environment; separate network wiring from high‑power cables. Enable FTP / SMTP function according to actual project demand; SMTP server shall allow port25 access, module does not support SMTP authentication. Upload custom web‑page resources to internal storage; test browser access and email alarm function before formal operation.
In‑Site Troubleshooting Reference
- OK LED stays off: Inspect chassis backplane power supply, module seating status, firmware version incompatibility.
- LNK indicator unlit: Ethernet cable damage, bad crimp, switch port fault.
- Cannot open web page: Wrong IP address, IP subnet conflict, firewall blocks 80‑port access.
- Email alarm fails to send: SMTP authentication unsupported, port 25 blocked by firewall, wrong SMTP server parameter setting.
- Intermittent web‑page access timeout: TCP connection resource exhausted, too many concurrent browser connections.
- FTP connection abnormal: FTP service not enabled on module, network port blocked by site firewall.
- Communication unstable: Poor cabinet grounding, heavy electromagnetic interference on‑site, optimize cable shielding processing.
