Main Functions
- The ECS End‑Column Sensor PWA is a dedicated plug‑in signal acquisition board for legacy ABB MPRC‑HKQCS paper‑machine quality control system. It monitors the mechanical travel limit positions of the QCS scanning carriage on paper machine.
- Receives and conditions multi‑channel position and limit sensor signals fed from scanning‑head mechanical assembly. Converts raw analog position signals and discrete limit switch states into digital data, transmits processed data to MPRC main CPU over system backplane bus.
- Implements end‑of‑travel protection logic for scanning carriage movement. It prevents mechanical over‑travel collision damage when the scanning head runs to left‑side or right‑side column boundary. It triggers hardware interlock to halt carriage driving motion once limit position is detected.
