Power down the related I/O station before mounting or removing the module. Anti‑static measures shall be followed when handling hardware. Secure the module firmly onto the base unit to guarantee reliable backplane contact. Arrange field signal cables separately from high‑power cables to reduce interference influence. Complete hardware configuration inside engineering software and download matching parameters before power‑on. After power restoration, verify each channel’s reading status one by one. Keep cabinet ventilation in good condition; sustained excessive temperature will accelerate component ageing.
Common on‑site phenomena and analysis ideas
If all indicator lamps remain unlit, first check backplane power supply condition and inspect for pin contamination or internal power‑circuit failure. When partial channels show abnormal readings, investigate field‑side loop open‑circuit or short‑circuit, loose terminal connection, or channel‑level circuit damage on the module itself. Intermittent signal jumping often relates to poor cabinet grounding, cable layout problems or cabinet over‑heating. If the controller cannot recognise the module, check slot position, completeness of system download and back‑bus working state. Once surge damage occurs from site fault events, replace this digital input module and perform inspection on adjacent I/O hardware for secondary damage.
