ABB DSAI130A 3BSE018292R1 Analog Input Module

DSAI130A (3BSE018292R1) is a VME‑bus rack‑mount analog input module for ABB Advant OCS AC400 series systems, which is the upgraded successor of DSAI130. It acquires analog signals from field transmitters, performs signal conditioning and A/D conversion, and transmits digital data to the controller mainboard through the VME back‑plane bus. This module cannot operate independently and must work together with controller main unit and rack power supply. Widely deployed in legacy thermal‑power, hydropower, petrochemical and metallurgical systems for acquisition of pressure, flow and level process signals, it serves as an essential spare part for maintenance and retrofit of aging Advant DCS systems.

Main Functions Collect multi‑channel differential analog signals from field transmitters. Complete signal filtering, surge protection and 12‑bit A/D conversion. Transmit converted digital measurement data to Advant controller via VME back‑plane bus. Support channel diagnosis for detection of transmitter open‑circuit and signal over‑range faults. Front‑panel LED indicators display power‑on status and hardware fault alarm codes for on‑site inspection. Hardware self‑diagnosis detects internal circuit faults and reports fault information to the controller. Parameter configuration and channel debugging are completed by ABB Advant engineering software.

Installation Requirement Plug‑in installation inside Advant VME controller subrack. Analog signal cables shall adopt shielded twisted‑pair and be strictly separated from high‑power power cables. Ensure reliable cabinet protective grounding. After module replacement, confirm full part‑number DSAI130A / 3BSE018292R1 matches original project configuration, download complete system configuration file. Perform channel point‑to‑point signal‑loop test and calibration verification. Different hardware revisions cannot be directly interchanged without configuration adaptation. Do not put into service until no hardware self‑diagnosis fault alarm exists.

Typical Application Scenarios Analog‑input‑module spare part for ABB Advant OCS / MasterPiece AC400 automation‑control systems; widely used for process‑signal acquisition in thermal‑power plants, hydropower plants and petrochemical industries; applied for legacy DCS‑PLC system maintenance and spare‑part replacement.
