PU516 (3BSE013064R1) is the early‑generation Real‑Time Accelerator (RTA) PCI board for ABB Advant OCS / Advant Master DCS system. It adopts 32‑bit 33 MHz PCI bus, equipped with single‑channel MB300(MasterBus300) fieldbus interface and one RS‑232 debug port, 16 MB on‑board RAM memory. It off‑loads real‑time communication and time‑critical data processing tasks from workstation host CPU, realizes deterministic low‑latency data interaction between Advant engineering / operator workstation and AC450 / AC460 series field controllers. It is the predecessor model of PU516A (3BSE032402R1). Compared with PU516A, PU516 only supports 5V PCI signal environment, without 3.3V PCI compatibility. Main Functions

  2. Connect MB300 bus cable to 15‑pin D‑Sub connector; follow MB300 bus wiring specification, install correct terminal resistor at bus end point.
  3. Workstation chassis protective grounding must comply with ABB Advant OCS system grounding specification to improve anti‑interference performance.
  4. After replacement, install matched RTA driver and firmware corresponding to Advant OCS software version; verify MB300 bus communication status.
  5. Replacement note: Cannot be used in pure 3.3V PCI slot; if replace with PU516A, confirm workstation PCI slot supports 3.3V/5V mixed signal, and match whole‑system driver firmware.
