Installation, Replacement & Critical Warnings
- De‑energize all rack power supply before replacing the whole rack chassis. The rack itself is non‑hot‑swappable.
- Must use complete full suffix code; different suffix variants (mounting, certification) cannot be directly interchanged.
- Inspect backplane gold‑plated contacts; bent, oxidized or contaminated pins lead to intermittent communication and power faults.
- After replacement, install each module sequentially, verify power‑on status, download system configuration by 3500 Rack Configuration software.
