Mechanical Data
‑ Full‑size 19‑inch dimension(W×H×D):483 mm ×178 mm ×283 mm; weight ≈8.0 kg (empty rack) ‑ Mini‑rack dimension(W×H×D):305 mm ×178 mm ×283 mm; weight ≈6.0 kg (empty rack)
Core Functions
- Mechanical carrier: Provides physical housing and positioning for all 3500 series plug‑in modules.
- Backplane power distribution: Transfers multi‑rail DC power from power‑supply cards to every module on the rack.
- Inter‑module high‑speed communication: Backplane bus realizes data exchange between monitor cards and 3500/22M interface module.
- Redundancy support: Supports dual redundant power‑supply architecture to improve system reliability for critical turbine / compressor protection.
- Flexible expansion: Users configure slot resources according to site monitoring points; freely combine vibration, thrust, speed, temperature and relay modules.
Installation, Replacement & Critical Warnings
- De‑energize total rack power before replacing the whole rack chassis. The rack itself cannot be hot‑swapped.
- Full suffix order code must be strictly matched. Full‑size rack and mini‑rack cannot be interchanged; different mounting variants cannot be directly retrofitted.
- Inspect backplane gold‑plated contacts; bent, contaminated or oxidized pins lead to intermittent faults.
- After rack replacement, install modules sequentially, complete power‑on inspection, download system configuration by 3500 Rack Configuration software.
-
Common failure mode: Backplane pin corrosion, PCB trace damage caused by electrical surge. Check cabinet humidity and equipment grounding when random module offline faults occur.
