Core Functions
- Rack configuration gateway: Accepts connection from 3500 Rack Configuration software, downloads system parameters to all monitor modules inside rack.
- System event acquisition: Collects fault, alarm and status events from each monitor card, outputs event log for maintenance analysis.
- External communication docking: Cooperates with TDXnet / TDIX / DDIX external communication processors to upload machinery data to upper‑level monitoring system.
- Rack status monitoring: Monitors rack power supply status and module online status, reports system‑level faults.
- Non‑interference for protection loop: Hardware design ensures that RIM failure will not affect hardware alarm and trip output of monitoring channelsBaker Hugh….
Installation, Replacement & Critical Warnings
- This module supports hot‑swap; after pulling out RIM, all vibration and protection channels continue working normally, only serial communication and rack configuration functions fail.
- Compatibility warning: 125744‑02 (3500/20) cannot be interchanged with 3500/22M. Hardware logic and backplane definition are different. Confirm board PWA number before purchasing.
- After replacement, check front‑panel OK LED; download rack configuration project by configuration software.
- Common failure mode: Serial port transceiver chip surge damage; board component aging. When serial cannot communicate but OK light is on, focus on inspecting DB9 interface circuit.
-
TMR triple‑redundant rack needs dedicated TMR‑RIM version; standard 125744‑02 cannot be used for TMR application.
