Description
Hardware & Electrical Specifications
‑ Manufacturer: Bently Nevada (Baker Hughes) ‑ Compatible System: 3500 series TSI machinery‑protection rack, matches M‑series monitor cards ‑ Functional Type: New‑Generation Standard Non‑TMR Transient Data Interface TDI Main Board ‑ Install Slot: Fixed Slot‑2 beside power‑supply slots of 3500‑05 rack ‑ Power Consumption: 10.5 W, powered by rack backplane bus ‑ Front‑panel: USB‑B service port, RUN/PROGRAM key switch, rack reset button, multi‑group status LED (OK, COMM, FAULT) ‑ External Communication: Dependent on rear I/O card:10/100 Base‑TX copper Ethernet or 100 Base‑FX fiber Ethernet ‑ Hot‑swap: Supports hot‑swap. During hot‑swap, rack hardware protection keeps running; communication and data upload are temporarily interrupted. ‑ PCB Coating: Conformal coated for G3 harsh industrial cabinet environment
Environmental Specifications
‑ Operating Temperature: 0 °C ~ +60 °C ‑ Storage Temperature: ‑40 °C ~ +85 °C ‑ Relative Humidity: 5%‑95 % non‑condensing ‑ Vibration & Shock: Complies with API‑670 power‑plant cabinet EMC standards
Mechanical Data
‑ Dimension(W×H×D):25.4 mm ×120.7 mm ×251.5 mm ‑ Weight: approx 0.92 kg
Core Functions
- Rack communication gateway: Accept connection from 3500 Rack Configuration software, download system parameters to each monitor module; read module status, alarms and system event logs.
- Steady‑state & transient waveform acquisition: Collect vibration, displacement, speed steady‑state values; capture high‑resolution dynamic waveform during unit start‑up, coast‑down and alarm events for mechanical fault diagnosisBaker Hugh….
- Upper‑level system docking: Cooperates with rear Ethernet I/O card to upload measurement data and event records to System 1 condition‑monitoring platform.
- Rack status supervision: Monitors power‑supply health and module online status, reports system‑level faults.
- Safety isolation: TDI hardware fault will not interfere with hardware trip output of monitor cards.
Installation, Replacement & Critical Warnings
- Module supports hot‑swap; hardware protection function remains active during replacement; communication service is temporarily interrupted.
- Compatibility warning: ‑ 288055‑01 is standard non‑TMR version; cannot be applied to TMR triple‑redundant rack (TMR uses 288055‑02). ‑ When replacing old‑board 138607‑01, check rack firmware version; firmware upgrade may be required, otherwise communication anomaly may occur. ‑ Cannot directly replace legacy 3500/20‑125744‑02 RIM, backplane logic definition differs.
- Main‑board 288055‑01 does not contain rear I/O card; copper or fiber I/O card needs separate matching procurement.
- After replacement, check OK LED status, download complete rack configuration project, verify Ethernet communication and transient waveform collection function.
-
Common failure mode: Ethernet transceiver surge damage, USB‑B port circuit damage, component aging.
