Bently 3500-50M 288062-02 Tachometer Monitor Main Board

288062‑02 is upgraded M‑series 2‑channel tachometer monitor board for 3500 TSI rack, successor of legacy 3500/50‑133388‑02. It accepts pulse signals from proximity probes or magnetic pick‑up sensors, completes shaft rotational‑speed measurement, acceleration / deceleration rate calculation, reverse‑rotation detection and zero‑speed monitoring. This module can output conditioned Keyphasor timing signal to rack backplane, providing speed reference for other monitor modules inside rack, can partly replace independent 3500/25 Keyphasor module for small‑scale configuration.

Core Functions

  1. Pulse‑signal conditioning: Supply‑24 VDC for proximity probes; condition magnetic pick‑up pulse signals for speed acquisition.
  2. Multi‑mode speed monitoring: Rotational‑speed measurement, acceleration / deceleration rate calculation, zero‑speed detection, reverse‑rotation detection.
  3. Peak‑hold storage: Record maximum speed, reverse‑speed and reverse rotation count, support manual reset.
  4. Keyphasor signal output: Output conditioned timing signal to rack backplane, supply phase reference for other monitor modules.
  5. Flexible alarm configuration: Speed set‑point alarm, speed‑band alarm, zero‑speed alarm, reverse‑rotation alarm; Alert / Danger with configurable delay.
  6. Analog output: Each channel provides isolated 4‑20 mA output via rear I/O board for DCS speed display and data acquisition.
  7. Self‑diagnosis: Continuous transducer cable fault detection, report module hardware fault to rack system log.

Installation, Replacement & Critical Warnings

  1. Supports hot‑swap; two‑channel speed measurement loses effectiveness during pulling‑out; other rack modules keep running.
  2. Compatibility warning: ‑ Cannot drop‑in replace old‑generation 3500/50‑133388‑02; must use matched rear‑I/O board 133442‑01, rack firmware ≥5.30 is requiredBaker Hugh…. ‑ Magnetic pick‑up sensors are not recommended for zero‑speed and reverse‑rotation monitoring under low‑speed condition, easy to produce false signal. ‑ For overspeed protection trip application, use dedicated 3500/53 overspeed module, do not rely on 3500/50M for protection trip.
  3. After replacement, check OK and Bypass LED status; download rack configuration project, verify speed reading, zero‑speed / reverse‑rotation function and 4‑20 mA output.
  4. Common failure mode:‑24 VDC transducer power circuit damage, input‑circuit surge damage, component aging; transducer cable short‑circuit may burn front‑end conditioning circuit.
