Description
Basic Hardware Information
- Number of input channels: 6 channels, each channel fully galvanically isolated (250 V continuous isolation rating between channels and backplane)Rockwell A…
- Input signal range: Voltage: ±10.5 V, 0‑10.5 V, 0‑5.25 V; Current: 0‑21 mA (supports standard 4‑20 mA transmitter loop)
- Conversion resolution: 16‑bit sigma‑delta ADC conversion; typical accuracy ±0.1 % full‑scale at 25 ℃
- Backplane power consumption: 800 mA @5.1 V DC, 4 mA @24 V DC; typical power dissipation 3.7‑4.3 W
- Mechanical structure: Standard single‑slot ControlLogix module; requires separate 20‑pin removable terminal block (RTB) for field wiring connection; supports RIUP removal‑insertion under powered condition
- Status indicators: Front‑panel LED indicators for module OK and calibration status
- Operating ambient temperature: 0 ℃ ~ +60 ℃; storage temperature ‑40 ℃ ~ +85 ℃; relative humidity 5‑95 % non‑condensing
- Software compatibility: Configured via Rockwell RSLogix 5000 programming software; supports digital filter setting, over‑range / under‑range alarm and wire‑break detection for each channel.
Core Functions & Features
- Independently isolated channels suppress common‑mode noise and ground‑loop disturbance, improving signal stability in cabinets with variable‑frequency drives and high‑power contactors.
- Each channel can be flexibly configured for voltage or current input mode. Current mode requires corresponding jumper setting on terminal block.
- Built‑in rich diagnostic functions: open‑circuit wire break detection, over‑range and under‑range alarm, module hardware fault reporting. Fault events can be time‑stamped and uploaded to controller.
- Configurable digital filtering parameters suppress high‑frequency field noise; data can be scaled directly inside module for engineering‑unit output.
- Adopts producer‑consumer communication mode over ControlLogix backplane, input data can be shared among multiple controllers on the same rack.
On‑site Installation & Commissioning Notes
- Insert module into any available slot of ControlLogix chassis. This module supports hot‑swap replacement while rack remains powered.
- Install matching 20‑pin removable terminal block (RTB). For current input mode, install corresponding sense jumper on RTB; missing jumper will result in abnormal current reading.
- Field signal cables should use shielded twisted‑pair wires. Separate analog signal cables from high‑voltage power cables to reduce electromagnetic interference.
- Complete channel configuration in RSLogix5000: define signal type, measuring range, filter time and alarm threshold for each channel.
- After wiring and configuration, perform signal injection test with calibrator to verify reading accuracy and fault diagnostic response.
- Replacement note: Replacement module must use identical part number. Non‑isolated analog input modules cannot serve as direct drop‑in substitutes.
