On‑site Installation & Commissioning Notes

- Install the matched 20‑pin removable terminal block. Use shielded twisted‑pair cables for analog signal wiring. Keep analog cables physically separated from high‑voltage power cables to reduce electromagnetic noise.
- Complete channel configuration inside programming software: select output type, set range, ramp‑up rate and fault‑state output value.
- After wiring and configuration, perform signal output simulation test with calibrator, verify actuator response matches expected output value.
- Replacement note: This is non‑isolated analog output hardware. Isolated modules such as 1756‑OF8I cannot be directly swapped without project re‑configuration. Use identical part‑number replacement.
Common On‑site Abnormal Conditions
‑ Output value fixed or cannot adjust: Wrong channel mode configuration, damaged RTB contact or backplane communication anomaly. ‑ Current‑loop open‑circuit alarm: Broken field cable, power‑loss of field positioner or loose terminal connection. ‑ Signal fluctuation and jitter: Insufficient shielding of analog cables, strong nearby electromagnetic interference. ‑ Module OK LED off: ControlLogix backplane power abnormality or internal hardware damage. ‑ Short‑circuit triggered channel lock‑off: Field‑side short‑circuit, module enters current‑limit protection status.
