Core Functions & Features
- Direct interface for bridge‑type load‑cells and strain‑gauges, eliminates requirement for external signal transmitter hardware.
- Per‑channel independent range configuration; unused channels can be turned off to optimize sampling speed.
- Excitation voltage monitoring and compensation function reduces measurement deviation caused by excitation source fluctuation.
- Built‑in diagnostic functions: wire‑break detection, over‑range and under‑range alarm for each channel; fault status is mapped to PLC discrete input memory area.
- Supports software zero‑point offset and span calibration for field sensor correction; measured millivolt values are transferred to Series 90‑30 CPU via backplane bus.
On‑site Installation & Commissioning Notes
- Power off the entire PLC rack before inserting or removing HE693STG884; this module is non‑hot‑swappable. Take ESD protection measures during handling.
- Use shielded twisted‑pair cables for strain‑gauge field wiring. Separate sensor cables from high‑power cables to suppress electromagnetic noise. Keep cable length consistent for multi‑channel load‑cell groups.
- Complete hardware configuration in LogicMaster 90 software: define input range, enable‑disable channels, set digital filter parameters and alarm thresholds.
- Perform zero‑point calibration under no‑load condition, then execute span calibration using standard reference weight or force.
- After commissioning, apply known test load to verify reading accuracy and diagnostic response.
- Replacement note: General analog input modules cannot serve as direct substitutes; replacement must use identical part number.
