On‑site Installation & Commissioning Notes

  1. Snap module firmly onto IC200CHS022 carrier base. Hot‑swap is permitted, yet cut off field transmitter loop power during replacement for safety.
  2. Confirm jumper setting on terminal base matches actual field transmitter current range. Missing or fitted jumper will lead to reading offset if mismatched with field equipment.
  3. Use shielded twisted‑pair cables for analog signal wiring. Separate analog cables from high‑voltage power cables to reduce electromagnetic interference; single‑point shield grounding is recommended. All 15‑channel negative return terminals connect to common A17 terminal on RTB base.
  4. Complete hardware configuration inside Proficy Machine Edition software, enable diagnostic functions according to site requirements.
  5. After wiring and configuration, perform signal injection test with calibrator to verify channel reading and open‑wire diagnostic response.
  6. Replacement note: This module has no channel‑to‑channel isolation. Isolated analog input modules cannot serve as direct drop‑in substitutes without project re‑configuration. Use identical part‑number replacement.

Common On‑site Abnormal Conditions

‑ Deviated or fixed reading: Wrong jumper range setting on carrier base, loose RTB terminal connection. ‑ Open‑wire fault alarm (4‑20 mA mode): Broken field loop cable, loss of 24 V loop power for transmitter or loose terminal contact. ‑ Signal jitter and fluctuation: Insufficient digital filter parameter, poor cable shielding or strong nearby electromagnetic interference. ‑ OK LED off: VersaMax backplane power abnormality or internal module hardware damage. ‑ Intermittent channel anomaly: Module not fully latched onto carrier‑base socket, vibration‑induced poor contact.
