Description

Basic Hardware Information

‑ Input channels: 15 single‑ended current‑only inputs, shared common return terminal ‑ Signal range: 4‑20 mA (jumper removed from carrier base); 0‑20 mA (jumper installed) ‑ ADC resolution: 15‑bit sigma‑delta conversion; 0.5 µA per count for 4‑20 mA mode ‑ Full‑module update time: Max 7.5 ms for all 15 channels ‑ Accuracy: Typical ±0.3 % full‑scale @25 ℃; maximum ±1.0 % full‑scale across operating temperature range 0‑60 ℃ ‑ Input impedance: 100 Ω per channel ‑ Isolation rating: 250 VAC continuous group‑to‑backplane isolation; no channel‑to‑channel isolation ‑ Backplane power consumption: Max 100 mA @5 VDC; powered entirely by VersaMax backplane bus ‑ Mechanical: Single‑slot VersaMax module; compatible with IC200CHS022 terminal base; supports hot‑swap while rack remains powered ‑ Status indicators: Front‑panel OK LED for module health status ‑ Operating ambient temperature: 0 ℃ ~ +60 ℃; storage temperature ‑40 ℃ ~ +85 ℃; relative humidity 5‑95 % non‑condensing ‑ Software configuration: Configured via Proficy Machine Edition; supports digital filtering and open‑wire detection (only valid under 4‑20 mA mode) ‑ Compatibility note: H‑revision is functionally form‑fit compatible with earlier IC200ALG264 revisions; still requires project software configuration validation after replacement.

Core Functions & Features

  1. Acquire standard 4‑20 mA / 0‑20 mA loop current signals from field transmitters, convert analog current values into digital data for VersaMax CPU processing.
  2. Open‑wire loop diagnostic available for 4‑20 mA range; fault codes can be reported to controller for alarm logic. Open‑wire detection is inactive under 0‑20 mA setting.
  3. Built‑in 24 Hz low‑pass filter suppresses high‑frequency field electrical noise.
  4. Supports configurable fault‑state behaviour: hold last value or preset output when module fault occurs.
  5. Producer‑consumer backplane communication, analog input data can be shared between multiple controllers within same VersaMax rack.
  6. Hot‑swap compatible for maintenance, reducing system downtime during module replacement work.

On‑site Installation & Commissioning Notes

  1. Firmly latch IC200ALG264H onto IC200CHS022 carrier base. Hot‑swap operation is allowed, but cut off field transmitter loop power for safety during module replacement.
  2. Verify jumper setting on terminal base matches actual transmitter current range. Wrong jumper placement will cause reading offset.
  3. Use shielded twisted‑pair analog cables. Separate signal wiring from high‑voltage power cables to reduce electromagnetic interference; implement single‑point shield grounding. All channel negative‑return points connect to common A17 terminal of carrier base.
  4. Complete hardware setup inside Proficy Machine Edition software, enable required diagnostic functions.
  5. After wiring and configuration download, perform calibrator signal injection test to confirm channel reading accuracy and fault‑diagnostic response.
  6. Replacement note: Isolated analog input modules cannot serve as direct drop‑in substitutes. Use matching part‑number hardware. Although H‑revision is form‑fit compatible, always verify system I/O configuration after swap.
