Main Functions
- Receive digital set‑point data from VersaMax CPU over backplane bus.
- Perform D/A conversion and output configurable analog voltage signals for field control devices.
- Jumper‑selectable fail‑safe behavior: hold last output value or force zero output upon communication loss or backplane power failure (external field power must remain alive).
- Detect loss of external field‑side power and report diagnostic fault status to PLC CPU.
- LED status indication: ‑ Green OK LED:Backplane power present ‑ Green FLD PWR LED:External field‑side power present
Installation & Wiring Requirements
- Cut off both backplane rack power and external field power before replacement. Hot‑swap is forbidden. Strict anti‑static protection when handling module.
- Insert module into VersaMax carrier base slot and lock firmly; set on‑board jumpers for output range and fail‑safe mode according to project requirement.
- Analog output wiring strictly follow GE VersaMax hardware manual; use shielded twisted‑pair cable, separate analog signal cables from high‑power cables, connect shielding to dedicated protective ground terminal.
- Complete protective grounding according to GE system specification.
- After replacement: power‑on step‑by‑step, verify OK and FLD‑PWR LED status, perform full‑channel output calibration test and communication‑loss fail‑safe simulation test.
- Replacement note: Verify hardware and firmware compatibility; full analog‑loop simulation test mandatory before unit put‑into‑service.
