On‑site Installation & Commissioning Notes
- Cut off whole PLC rack power before plugging or removing IC693ACC307; apply anti‑static protection.
- In multi‑rack expansion daisy‑chain system, install this terminator only on the expansion D‑Sub port of the last expansion baseplate. Do not install on CPU main‑rack port or intermediate‑rack port; multiple terminators on same chain will cause bus communication failure。
- Tighten D‑Sub fixing screws to prevent vibration‑induced loose contact. Arrange expansion‑cable routing separately from high‑voltage power cables to reduce EMI interference.
- After completing whole expansion‑chain wiring and terminator installation, power‑on PLC, verify all expansion‑rack modules are fully recognized inside programming software, check for expansion‑bus fault bits.
- Replacement note: Generic third‑party D‑Sub plug cannot substitute for IC693ACC307, internal resistor network is mandatory. After replacement, double‑check installation position (last rack only), and perform full‑point I/O validation test.
Common On‑site Abnormal Conditions
‑ Intermittent expansion‑rack drop‑out: Missing terminator plug; terminator installed on intermediate rack; loose D‑Sub connector; damaged internal resistor inside terminator. ‑ Some expansion‑I/O modules cannot be recognized: Wrong terminator position, damaged expansion cable, D‑Sub connector pin damage on baseplate. ‑ Sporadic I/O data jitter / random module fault alarms: Signal reflection caused by missing or defective terminator, heavy EMI interference on expansion‑cable route. ‑ Whole expansion‑chain no communication: Two terminators fitted on same expansion chain simultaneously. ‑ Terminator physical damage: Surge voltage conducted through expansion cable, ESD impact on D‑Sub interface.
