Mount IC693ACC307 terminator plug exclusively on D‑Sub port of last expansion rack in daisy‑chain. Tighten D‑Sub fixing‑screws. Route expansion‑bus cables away from high‑voltage AC power cables.
- Download hardware configuration to CPU; verify all main‑rack and expansion‑rack modules are recognized inside programming software, monitor expansion‑bus fault status bits.
- Replacement note: Cannot substitute with expansion‑only baseplate IC693CHS398. After baseplate replacement, double‑check module seating, expansion‑cable wiring and terminator location; perform full‑point I/O validation test.
Common On‑site Abnormal Conditions
‑ Partial / all modules unrecognized: Poor module insertion; back‑plane PCB trace damage; bent/broken pins on 25‑pin D‑Sub expansion connector. ‑ Intermittent I/O faults, expansion‑rack drop‑out: Loose D‑Sub connector; missing / misplaced IC693ACC307 terminator; total expansion‑cable length exceeds 15 m limit. ‑ Intelligent communication module fault: Module inserted into damaged back‑plane slot connector; insufficient 5 VDC back‑plane current budget. ‑ Random module fault bits: PCB contamination / corrosion; vibration‑induced poor module contact. ‑ Entire rack loss of back‑plane power: Power‑supply failure; insufficient seating of power‑supply module on back‑plane edge connector.
