Description
1. General Product Information
This power supply must be installed in the left‑most slot of Series 90‑30 baseplate, it cannot be placed in ordinary I/O slots. It accepts both AC and DC main input sources and converts input power into multiple regulated DC outputs for rack‑mounted CPU and I/O modules. Different hardware revisions are fully interchangeable for field replacement. It integrates RS‑485 serial communication interface supporting SNP/SNP‑X protocol, which passes serial communication signals to CPU through backplane for programming and HMI connection. Total maximum output power is 30W, users need to calculate total power consumption of all rack modules to avoid over‑load operation.
2. Input Electrical Specifications
Nominal input voltage: 120/240VAC or 125VDC. AC operating range covers 85‑264VAC, DC operating range covers 100‑300VDC, wide input range adapts to unstable industrial power grid environment. Maximum input power is 90VA under AC input condition and 50W under DC input condition. Peak inrush current reaches 4A with maximum duration of 250ms during power‑on startup.
3. DC Output Characteristics
Three groups of DC outputs are provided separately. 5VDC logic output supplies power for backplane logic circuit, output voltage 5.0‑5.2VDC (nominal 5.1VDC), max power 15W. 24VDC relay output provides driving power for relay‑type output modules on backplane, output range 24‑28VDC, max power 15W. Isolated 24VDC output can supply power for external field sensors and input modules, output range 21.5‑28VDC, max power 20W. The sum power of all three outputs shall not exceed 30W total rating. Input‑to‑backplane isolation withstand voltage reaches 1500VAC for one‑minute test.
4. Protection & Status Indication
Built‑in multi‑level protection mechanism. Over‑voltage protection triggers when 5V output rises to 6.4‑7V, over‑current protection limits 5V output maximum current at 4A, which cuts off output to prevent module and peripheral hardware damage under short‑circuit or overload faults. Front‑panel LED indicators display power normal status and fault alarm information, maintenance personnel can quickly judge over‑load, input loss and internal failure without software tools.
5. Environmental Specifications
Operating temperature: 0°C ~ +60°C for cabinet installation. Storage and transportation temperature:‑40°C ~ +85°C. Relative humidity:5%‑95% non‑condensing. The module complies with UL, cUL and CE industrial safety standards. Approximate weight is 0.78kg.
6. Application Notes
Only fits Series 90‑30 baseplate leftmost power slot, cannot be used for RX3i system. Do not exceed total 30W output power limit when configuring I/O modules. The RS‑485 port only transfers serial signals and cannot work as independent programming port without CPU. For heavy‑load rack layout, calculate power budget in advance to avoid unexpected system drop‑out. Conformal coated version IC693PWR321CA is available for harsh corrosive environment occasions.
