Description

1. General Product Information

This power supply must be installed in the left‑most dedicated power slot of Series 90‑30 baseplate and cannot be placed in regular I/O slots. It is DC‑only input version, designed for cabinets with DC field power system. Hardware revisions are pin‑to‑pin compatible for direct field replacement. An integrated RS‑485 serial port supports SNP/SNP‑X protocol, serial signals pass through backplane to CPU for programming, HMI and field communication. The total maximum output power is limited to 30W, users must sum power consumption of all rack modules to avoid overload. No battery is equipped inside this module.

2. Input Electrical Specifications

Nominal input voltage is 24VDC or 48VDC. Operating running voltage range is 18‑56VDC, while minimum startup voltage is 21VDC; the module will not power‑on if input voltage falls below 21VDC. Maximum full‑load input power is 50W. Peak inrush current is 4A with maximum duration of 100ms during power‑on moment. Minimum power‑fail ride‑through time is 10ms, providing short‑time hold‑up for CPU data retention upon momentary power dip.

3. DC Output Characteristics

Three independent output rails are provided. The 5VDC logic output supplies backplane logic circuit, voltage range 5.0‑5.2VDC typical 5.1VDC, maximum 15W. The non‑isolated 24VDC relay output supplies driving power for backplane relay‑type output modules, output range 19.2‑28.8VDC, maximum 15W. The galvanically isolated 24VDC auxiliary output can feed external field sensors and input modules, output range 19.2‑28.8VDC, maximum 20W. The sum power of all three outputs shall not exceed 30W total rating. Input‑to‑backplane dielectric withstand isolation reaches 1500VAC for one‑minute test.

4. Protection & Status Indication

Multiple built‑in protection functions are implemented. Over‑voltage protection activates when 5V output rises to 6.4‑7V. Over‑current protection limits 5V output maximum current and cuts off outputs under short‑circuit or overload conditions to protect PLC hardware. Front‑panel LED indicators show power‑ok status and fault alarms. Maintenance personnel can quickly identify input loss, overload and internal hardware failure without connecting configuration software.

5. Environmental Specifications

Operating temperature: 0°C ~ +60°C for cabinet‑mount industrial environment. Storage and transportation temperature:‑40°C ~ +85°C. Relative humidity:5%‑95% non‑condensing. It complies with UL, cUL and CE industrial safety standards. Approximate weight is 0.78kg.

6. Application Notes

It only fits Series 90‑30 baseplate leftmost power slot and cannot be used for RX3i system. The RS‑485 port only transfers serial signals and cannot serve as independent programming port without CPU in rack. System power budget calculation is mandatory before configuring I/O modules to prevent total power exceeding 30W limit. Conformal coated variant IC693PWR322CA is available for corrosive high‑humidity harsh site conditions. This unit is DC‑input only, cannot work with AC mains power source.
