Description
1. General Product Information
This power supply must be mounted in the left‑most dedicated power slot of Series 90‑30 baseplate and cannot occupy ordinary I/O slots. Compared with IC693PWR321 standard power supply, its major advantage is that the full 30W total output power can be allocated to the 5VDC logic rail, which suits racks loaded with CPU, motion modules and multiple high‑consumption I/O cards. It integrates RS‑485 serial interface with SNP/SNP‑X protocol, serial signals pass through backplane to CPU for programming and HMI connection. Hardware revisions are pin‑to‑pin compatible for field replacement. Conformal coated version IC693PWR330CA is available for corrosive environments. Total output power is limited to 30W, system power budget calculation is required before configuration.
2. Input Electrical Specifications
Nominal input: 120/240VAC or 125VDC. AC operating range is 85‑264VAC, DC operating range is 100‑300VDC, adapting to unstable industrial power grid. Maximum full‑load input power is 100VA under AC input and 50W under DC input. Peak inrush current reaches 4A with maximum duration of 250ms at power‑on. Minimum power‑fail hold‑up time is 20ms, providing short‑time data retention during brief power dip.
3. DC Output Characteristics
Three output rails are provided. The 5VDC logic output ranges from 5.0‑5.2VDC (nominal 5.1VDC), maximum 30W, which can use the full total power budget for logic circuits when 24V outputs are lightly loaded. The 24VDC relay output supplies drive power for backplane relay‑output modules, output voltage 24‑28VDC, maximum 15W. The galvanically isolated 24VDC auxiliary output can feed external sensors and input modules, output 21.5‑28VDC, maximum 20W. Sum of all three outputs shall not exceed 30W total rating. Input‑to‑backplane dielectric withstand isolation is 1500VAC for one‑minute test.
4. Protection & Status Indication
Built‑in multi‑level protection functions. Over‑voltage protection triggers when 5V output rises to 6.4‑7V. Over‑current protection limits 5V output maximum current at 7A, cutting off outputs under short‑circuit or overload to protect rack hardware. Front‑panel LED indicators display power‑ok and system fault status, users can quickly identify input loss, overload and internal failure without configuration software. Battery connector is reserved for external lithium backup battery to maintain memory data during power loss.
5. Environmental Specifications
Operating temperature: 0°C ~ +60°C for cabinet‑mount industrial environment. Storage and transportation temperature:‑40°C ~ +85°C. Relative humidity:5%‑95% non‑condensing. It complies with UL, cUL and CE industrial safety standards. Approximate unit weight is 0.78kg.
6. Application Notes
Itonly works for Series 90‑30 system and cannot be used for RX3i racks. The RS‑485 port only transfers serial signals and cannot act as independent programming port without CPU installed. Users should prioritize assigning power budget to 5VDC rail for racks with dense high‑power modules. The total 30W limitation cannot be exceeded. External backup battery is sold separately and not included with the module.
