Technical description
This hardware occupies one single slot on RX3i backplane. Signal channels are divided into four electrically separated groups, eight input points per group, each group has independent common terminal, different reference potentials can be applied for individual groups without cross‑interference. Multiple hardware revisions are drop‑in compatible for field replacement work. Seven grades of input filter time can be configured via controller software, filter setup helps filter out transient noise spikes coming from factory field environment.
Working voltage accepts 24VDC nominal signal, allowable signal range covers 0‑30VDC. Typical input current per channel sits around 7mA. Each channel comes with front‑side LED indicator, operators can directly observe channel on‑off status without configuration software connection. Backplane power draw is 195mA under 5VDC rail, all field signal power must be provided by user external power source; the module only performs signal acquisition and does not supply field power. Two styles of matching terminal parts are available: screw terminal IC694TBB032 and spring‑clamp terminal IC694TBS032, users need to purchase them separately according to field wiring preference.
Isolation performance reaches 1500VAC dielectric withstand test between field signal side and controller logic side, improving anti‑interference performance for heavy‑noise workshop condition. Module exchanges status data with RX3i CPU via backplane bus, occupies 48 input bits and 16 output bits of controller memory space for point status and filter parameter transmission.
For environmental working conditions, permitted operating temperature ranges 0°C to +60°C for cabinet‑mount installation. Storage and transportation temperature spans ‑40°C ~ +85°C. Humidity condition requires 5%‑95% non‑condensing atmosphere. This hardware meets UL, cUL and CE industrial certification standards. Approximate unit weight is 0.28kg.
When deploying this component, users shall make sure terminal block is locked firmly to avoid loose‑contact fault. Proper filter value should be selected balancing response speed and noise suppression. It is designed exclusively for RX3i rack platform and cannot be fitted into Series 90‑30 baseplate. Do not feed signal voltage exceeding 30VDC onto input channels to prevent internal circuit damage. Conformal coated variant IC694MDL660CA is offered for high‑humidity and corrosive cabinet surroundings.
