GE IS200VAICH1DAB VAIC VME‑Bus Analog Input‑Output Processor Board

IS200VAICH1DAB (VAIC‑H1D‑AB) is double‑slot VME‑bus analog input‑output processor board for GE Speedtronic Mark VI gas‑steam turbine control system. It is AB hardware revision of IS200VAICH1D. It cooperates with TBAIH1C / STAI series field terminal boards, collects multi‑type field analog sensor signals and performs analog closed‑loop output drive. Supports simplex and TMR triple‑modular‑redundant architecture. Critical for turbine process measurement and auxiliary analog regulation; hardware fault may result in measurement loss or analog output abnormality. Product status: Obsolete legacy spare‑part only supply available.

Main Functions

  1. Receive field analog signals transmitted from TBAIH1C / STAI terminal boards, including pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, temperature‑related analog transducers and other process 4‑20 mA / voltage signals.
  2. Complete analog‑to‑digital conversion, signal scaling and filtering, transmit digital process data to main controller via VME bus.
  3. Convert digital control commands from main rack into analog current output signals, drive field analog actuators or positioning devices.
  4. Built‑in suicide relay cuts off analog outputs when critical board fault occurs, improving system safety.
  5. Per‑channel self‑diagnosis: detect input over‑range, output over‑load, channel open‑circuit fault, ribbon‑cable link failure; upload fault alarm to turbine main controller.
  6. LED status indication:
    • Green LED:Board power supply normal
    • Yellow LED:VME bus and ribbon‑cable link communication active
    • Red LED:Analog‑channel fault / link‑failure alarm

Installation & Wiring Requirements

  1. Cut off rack power supply before replacement. Hot‑swap is forbidden. Strict anti‑static protection when handling PCB board.
  2. Insert board into designated VME slot, secure panel locking screws; ensure all multi‑pin ribbon‑cable connectors fully locked without loose contact.
  3. Field analog wiring strictly follow GE Speedtronic Mark VI wiring manual; analog signal cables adopt shielded twisted‑pair, strictly separated from high‑power cables; connect shielding to dedicated ground terminal.
  4. Complete protective grounding according to GE Speedtronic system specification.
  5. After replacement: verify VME rack power status, check each analog input reading, test every analog output channel performance before commissioning.
  6. Replacement note: For TMR triple‑redundant system application, hardware consistency of related packs shall be verified; full analog‑loop simulation test mandatory before unit put‑into‑service.
