GE IS220PDOAH1A PDOA Discrete Relay Output I/O Pack

IS220PDOAH1A (PDOAH1A) is a 12‑channel discrete relay output I/O pack for GE Speedtronic Mark VIe / Mark VIeS turbine‑generator control system. It receives control commands from Mark VIe controller over redundant IONet network and drives external relays on matched terminal boards for solenoid valves, contactors, trip circuits and auxiliary equipment. Supports simplex, duplex and TMR triple‑modular‑redundant I/O configuration. Product status: Obsolete, spare‑part only supply available。

Main Functions

  1. Receive discrete on‑off control commands from Mark VIe main controller via redundant IONet bus.
  2. Generate drive signals for external relays mounted on matched terminal boards to control solenoid valves, contactors, trip coils, indicator lamps and auxiliary devices.
  3. Read relay‑contact feedback status from terminal board and upload real‑time output state to the controller.
  4. Continuous self‑diagnosis for each output drive channel, detect open‑circuit, abnormal load and module hardware faults, report fault alarm status.
  5. LED status indication:   ‑ Green LED:Module power supply normal / PWR status   ‑ Yellow LED:LINK / TxRx IONet communication activity indicator   ‑ Red LED:ATTN / module FAIL fault alarm

Installation & Wiring Requirements

  1. Cut off I/O pack rack power supply before replacement. Hot‑swap is forbidden. Strict anti‑static protection when handling PCB board.
  2. Insert module into designated slot of I/O pack rack, lock module latch to ensure reliable backplane contact.
  3. Field discrete output wiring strictly follow GE Speedtronic Mark VIe wiring manual; signal cables shall be separated from high‑power cables; connect shielding to dedicated ground terminal.
  4. Complete protective grounding according to GE system specification.
  5. After replacement: verify I/O pack power‑on status, perform each channel output test and output‑loop commissioning test.
  6. Replacement note: For TMR triple‑redundant system application, hardware consistency and firmware‑version matching shall be verified; full signal‑loop simulation test mandatory before unit put‑into‑service.
