GE IS220PPDAH1B PPDA Power Distribution Feedback I/O Pack

IS220PPDAH1B (PPDAH1B) is hardware revision‑B power‑distribution monitoring feedback I/O pack for GE Speedtronic Mark VIe / Mark VIeS turbine‑generator control system, upgraded replacement for IS220PPDAH1A. It mounts directly onto JPDM / JPDC / JPDS power distribution terminal boards, monitors AC/DC supply voltages, fuse status, ground‑fault signals and power‑circuit health conditions. It transmits all power‑system diagnostic data to Mark VIe controller via redundant IONet Ethernet. Supports simplex, duplex and TMR triple‑modular‑redundant I/O configuration. Product status: Obsolete, spare‑part only supply available。

Main Functions

  1. Collect multi‑path power‑distribution status signals including AC supply voltage, each fuse condition and ground‑fault alarm from JPD‑series power boards.
  2. Perform signal conditioning, isolation and analog‑to‑digital conversion for power‑system monitoring variables.
  3. Transmit real‑time power‑health data, fuse‑blown alarms and ground‑fault events to Mark VIe main controller via redundant IONet bus.
  4. Execute continuous built‑in self‑diagnosis for module hardware and signal‑input channels, report module failure and signal‑loop abnormality.
  5. LED status indication:   ‑ Green LED:Module power supply normal / RUN status   ‑ Yellow LED:IONet link / communication activity indicator   ‑ Red LED:Module FAIL / power‑system fault alarm

Installation & Wiring Requirements

  1. Cut off all AC & DC power for power‑distribution rack before replacement. Hot‑swap is forbidden. Strict anti‑static protection when handling PCB board.
  2. Plug module firmly onto designated JPDM/JPDC/JPDS terminal board, fasten locking screws to ensure reliable mechanical and electrical contact.
  3. Follow GE Speedtronic Mark VIe hardware manual GEH‑6721 for power‑circuit wiring; separate high‑power AC wiring from signal cables, connect shielding to dedicated protective ground terminal.
  4. Complete protective grounding according to GE system specification.
  5. After replacement: power‑on step‑by‑step, verify IONet communication, check each power‑monitoring point reading, perform fuse‑failure and ground‑fault simulation test.
  6. Replacement note: For TMR triple‑redundant system application, hardware consistency and firmware‑version matching shall be verified; full power‑distribution‑loop simulation test mandatory before unit put‑into‑service.
