Main Functions
- Acquire resistance signal from field RTD temperature sensors such as bearing RTD, stator winding RTD and process temperature sensors.
- Execute excitation current drive, signal conditioning, A/D conversion and resistance‑to‑temperature linearization calculation.
- Detect RTD sensor open‑circuit, short‑circuit and wiring faults, upload fault diagnostic information.
- Transmit real‑time temperature measurement values and channel fault alarms to Mark VIe main controller via redundant IONet bus.
- Continuous self‑diagnosis for module hardware, analog circuit and communication link, report module failure alarm status.
- LED status indication: ‑ Green LED:PWR / Module power supply normal ‑ Yellow LED:LINK / IONet communication activity indicator ‑ Red LED:ATTN / module fault or sensor‑loop abnormality alarm
Installation & Wiring Requirements
- Cut off I/O pack rack power supply before replacement. Hot‑swap is forbidden. Strict anti‑static protection when handling PCB board.
- Insert module into designated slot of I/O pack rack, lock module latch to ensure reliable backplane contact.
- RTD sensor wiring strictly follow GE Speedtronic Mark VIe hardware manual; use shielded twisted‑pair cable for temperature signal, separate from high‑power cables, connect shielding to dedicated protective ground terminal.
- Complete protective grounding according to GE system specification.
- After replacement: verify IONet communication, configure sensor type and wiring mode, perform temperature‑loop calibration test and channel fault simulation test.
- Replacement note: For TMR triple‑redundant system application, hardware consistency and firmware‑version matching shall be verified; full temperature‑loop simulation test mandatory before unit put‑into‑service.
