5. Important Notes
- Must pair with T8861 VFTA, field cables cannot connect directly to module. T8861 is DIN‑rail mounted termination assembly; VFTA is fully shared between T8461 and T8461C, no modification required.
- When fitted inside T8300 expander chassis, T8310 expander‑processor must be present in same chassis.
- Firmware build‑version must strictly match module hardware variant. T8461 firmware cannot run on T8461C and vice‑versa; verify build‑number before spare‑part replacement. Mechanical dimension and pin‑out are physically compatible, but firmware shall not be mixed.
- Line‑monitor function must be software‑enabled per‑channel; field load must exceed 50 mA, otherwise open‑load fault will be reported; not suitable for ultra‑low‑current loads.
- Output is sourcing‑type. Each channel independently configurable for 24 V or 48 V; mixed‑voltage loops are allowed within one module subject to VFTA power‑group constraints. Built‑in electronic short‑circuit latch‑up protection.
