Description
Technical highlights
Compliant with IEC 61508 SIL3 safety standard. Supports PSSnet safety Ethernet interface. Process data interaction with remote I/O and upper engineering station. Working power: 24 VDC, powered by rack backplane. Integrated hardware self‑diagnosis, fault log recording function. Operating ambient: 0℃ ~ +60℃; storage‑40℃~+85℃; humidity 5‑95% non‑condensing; IP20 cabinet‑mount only. Compatibility note: Project programming is implemented via PSS Engineering software. Firmware revision must match whole rack hardware; mismatched version leads to download failure or hardware alarm.

Physical features
Rack plug‑in module for PSS 3000 chassis. Front panel equipped with multi‑group status LED indicators for run, fault and bus status. Rear high‑density connector connects to rack backplane for power supply and internal bus exchange. Part‑number 301120 is printed on module housing label. PCB is conformal‑coated for dust‑resistance in industrial cabinet environments.
Site application scenario
Widely used in petrochemical and power‑plant safety instrument systems, undertaking ESD emergency shutdown, burner management safety interlock logic operation. Module hardware failure will stop safety control tasks. Under redundant CPU configuration, standby unit will take over automatically. After replacement, insert module into designated CPU slot, check backplane contact condition, download matched project configuration, verify online status and diagnostic information before commissioning.
Installation & maintenance notes
Power off safety rack before replacement. Anti‑static protection required during handling. Avoid scratching rear connector pins. Safety‑Ethernet adopts shielded industrial cable, separate from high‑power cables to reduce electromagnetic interference. Backup full project archive before hardware swap. On‑site component‑level repair is prohibited, replace complete module under permanent hardware damage.
Common site fault performances
- CPU fault LED lights up: Check firmware consistency, inspect backplane 24VDC power quality, re‑seat module.
- Cannot connect with engineering tool: Verify network IP setting, firewall status and software‑firmware matching.
- Intermittent system diagnostic alarm: Check cabinet temperature, dust accumulation and grounding condition.
-
Module unrecognized by rack: Inspect backplane bus connection status.
