Physical Construction
Metal casing with front operating panel. The front side includes LCD screen, function buttons, up/down speed keys, multi-channel status indicator lights and key switch for operation permission. Internal circuit board for pulse signal processing and overspeed logic judgment. Model code is printed on housing surface.
Application Areas
This controller is widely used in petrochemical plants, refineries, gas compressor stations, thermal power plants and offshore platforms. It serves turbine safety protection systems for gas turbines and steam turbines. It continuously collects pulse signals from speed probes, monitors shaft rotating speed in real time, and triggers safety trip command once overspeed exceeds preset limit to protect turbine equipment from mechanical damage.
Maintenance Note: This is safety-critical turbomachinery protection hardware. Periodic speed simulation test is required to verify trip action. Routine maintenance should check pickup cable integrity, indicator status and key switch position.
Operation & Maintenance Suggestions
- Wear anti-static wristband before opening the controller housing. Cut off 24VDC power supply before wiring modification.
- Keep cabinet air circulation and clean. Dust accumulation on circuit board will cause signal reading error. Prevent corrosive gas and liquid from entering the unit.
- After wiring, perform speed signal simulation calibration. Verify overspeed trip action and check alarm indicators. Record threshold parameters for future reference.
- Store spare controller of the same model. Do not modify internal protection logic on site. Replace the whole unit once permanent circuit damage occurs.
Common Fault Handling
- No speed reading: Check speed pickup sensor, shield cable wiring, cable breakage and pulse signal integrity.
- Incorrect speed value: Inspect pickup installation gap, cable interference and parameter configuration.
- Overspeed false alarm: Check signal noise, loose terminals and pickup insulation degradation.
- Cannot modify setting parameters: Check front panel key lock switch status.
- No power and all LEDs off: Verify 24VDC input power and terminal connection.
