Physical Description
Chassis plug-in output board. Front panel is equipped with LED indicators showing running state, triple leg synchronization and channel fault alerts. Gold fingers on the rear side mate with rack backplane for power supply and TriBus data transmission. No field wiring terminals on the module itself. All solenoid valve cables are wired on supporting terminal assembly. Model marking is printed on the side of metal housing.

This coated output module is widely installed in ESD emergency shutdown and F&G fire & gas cabinets on offshore platforms, coastal chemical plants and saline environment facilities. It executes shutdown orders sent by Tricon processors to control emergency cut-off valves, blowdown valves and audible-visual alarm units. The coating protects the PCB from moisture and salt fog erosion, extending service life in harsh coastal sites.
Maintenance Reminder: Safety-critical control hardware. Complete module failure results in loss of all 32 output points and disables relevant safety loops. Regular inspection of diagnostic alarms is required.
Operation & Maintenance Instructions
- Anti-static wristband must be worn during module handling. Hot swap is available for racks with redundant spare slots. Power off the whole rack before replacement without redundant configuration.
- Use shielded twisted pair cables for field output wiring. Separate control cables from high-power motor and inverter cables to reduce electromagnetic interference. Tighten terminal screws to avoid intermittent poor contact.
- Insert the module fully into rack slot to guarantee stable gold finger contact. Download validated project configuration and perform point-by-point function test. Confirm field actuators respond correctly and check system logs for version mismatch and bus warnings.
- Keep complete backup copies of project configuration files. Never disassemble damaged module on site; replace the whole unit directly once permanent hardware damage occurs.
On-site Troubleshooting Reference
- Batch channels trigger load fault alarms: Inspect wiring on terminal base, check field cables for open/short circuit, verify 24V field power supply and fuse status.
- Actuator fails to respond to output command: Check safety logic setup, solenoid coil health and terminal tightness, confirm channel lock caused by overload.
- System reports leg mismatch alerts: Verify firmware consistency across three legs, clean dust and oxidation on backplane gold fingers.
- No LED illumination on front panel: Check rack backplane power supply and confirm full module insertion.
- Output status cannot update: Inspect TriBus link status and running condition of main processor.
