Description
Core Specifications
- Cable construction: Multi-conductor shielded twisted pair, flame retardant insulation, tinned copper braid shielding
- Connectors: Custom locking multi-pin molded connectors on both ends
- Length: 5 meters
- Rated voltage: 250V AC/DC, suitable for 24VDC instrument signal loops
- Platform compatibility: Classic Tricon v9~v11 systems, compatible with DI/DO/AI/AO modules and matching marshaling panels. Not suitable for Tricon CX.
- Environmental range: Operating temperature -40℃ ~ +70℃; storage temperature -40℃ ~ +85℃; relative humidity 5%–95% non-condensing.
- Installation reminder: Route separately from high-current power cables to reduce EMI. Follow single-point shield grounding rules defined in SIS project specs. Avoid sharp bends, pulling or crushing the cable during cabinet wiring.

Physical Construction
Grey flame retardant outer jacket, internal multi-core twisted pairs with overall shielding. Both ends fitted with factory molded custom multi-pin connectors with locking clips. Model part number printed on cable tags and connector housings.
Application Areas
This cable assembly is widely used in petrochemical plants, refineries, gas compressor stations, thermal power plants and offshore platforms. Deployed in ESD emergency shutdown, burner management, turbomachinery protection and fire & gas safety instrument systems. It links Tricon rack I/O cards to termination marshaling panels, guaranteeing stable transmission of trip and measurement signals for safety loops.
Maintenance Note: This is safety-related signal transmission hardware. Damaged cable or loose connector locks will trigger channel diagnostic alarms. Routine inspection should check connector locking condition, cable sheath integrity and cable routing protection.
Operation & Maintenance Suggestions
- Wear anti-static wristband before connecting or disconnecting connectors. Cut off field loop power before unplugging the cable assembly.
- Maintain cabinet airflow. Prevent sharp metal edges from cutting the cable jacket. Keep corrosive vapor and liquid away from cable and connectors.
- Complete wiring and securely lock the connector clips. Perform point-by-point signal simulation test, verify signal stability, and review system diagnostic logs for cable-related faults.
- Keep spare identical cable assemblies in stock. Never splice or repair damaged cables on site; replace the full assembly once insulation or connector pins are damaged.
Common Fault Handling
- All connected channels no signal: Check connector locking, inspect cable breakage or pin damage on the molded plug.
- Intermittent signal fluctuation: Check shield grounding quality, cable compression, cabinet vibration and loose connectors.
- Single channel signal failure: Inspect internal wire breakage or bent pins on the connector.
- Diagnostic alarms after cable replacement: Confirm cable model matches I/O module and termination panel, verify pin assignment.
- Cable sheath scratch: Check friction against cabinet metal edges and add protective cable sleeves.
