Detailed Specifications
- Channel allocation: 32 digital input channels per panel, supporting 24VDC /48VDC commoned input. Each channel is fitted with a 180Ω current-limiting resistor to protect the I/O card from field short-circuit surges.
- Matching rule: One 64-point DI module requires two pieces of 9566-810. The panel comes with two sets of printed labels: 1–32 and 33–64 for site marking convenience.
- Wiring structure: Equipped with shared PWR+ / PWR- common power terminals. Screw terminal blocks simplify field wiring inspection and maintenance. It connects to Tricon DI module via dedicated flat ribbon cable.
- System compatibility: Designed for classic Tricon v9 and v11 platform. It is a passive panel without backplane gold fingers and cannot be plugged into rack slots. Not compatible with Tricon CX system.
- Environmental specs: Operating temperature -40℃ ~ +70℃; storage temperature -40℃ ~ +85℃; relative humidity 5%–95% non-condensing. DIN rail mounting, with good shock and vibration resistance for cabinet installation.
- Installation reminder: This termination board is a passive signal conditioning unit, no logic or voting circuit on board. Before commissioning, check the flat cable connection and confirm panel variant matches the DI module model.
Hardware Features
DIN rail mount PCB assembly with green plastic housing. The front side is fitted with screw terminal blocks for field instrument wiring. Each signal channel integrates fixed current limiting resistor. Pre-printed channel number labels are provided. There is no internal microprocessor. The model number is printed on the housing surface.
Application Scenarios
This termination panel is widely used in ESD emergency shutdown, burner management, turbomachinery protection and fire & gas detection systems for petrochemical plants, refineries, gas compressor stations, thermal power plants and offshore platforms. It collects discrete on/off signals from pressure switches, limit switches, temperature switches and level switches. Built-in current limiting resistor can avoid I/O module damage caused by field cable short circuit.
Maintenance Tip: This is safety-related signal wiring hardware. When a single channel short circuit occurs, only that channel will be affected, other input points remain operational. Daily maintenance should check terminal tightness and cable insulation aging.
Maintenance & Operation Guidelines
- Wear anti-static wristband during wiring modification. Cut off field 24V/48V signal power before touching terminals to prevent surge current damage.
- Keep cabinet interior clean. Dust buildup on terminals will lead to intermittent signal dropout. Prevent corrosive vapor and liquid from contacting PCB and terminal blocks.
- Complete wiring and connect the termination panel to Tricon DI module by dedicated flat cable. Run point-by-point signal simulation test, confirm DI data uploads normally and check system diagnostic logs.
- Keep spare panels of same model. Do not modify internal resistors on site. Replace the whole panel once PCB suffers permanent damage.
Common Troubleshooting
- No DI signal reading: Check field loop power supply, terminal looseness, cable breakage and resistor integrity.
- Intermittent signal loss: Inspect terminal oxidation, cabinet vibration and cable insulation degradation.
- Multiple channels abnormal: Verify shared common power terminal connection.
- Data cannot be acquired after panel replacement: Confirm panel matches DI module, inspect flat cable connection.
- High leakage current alarm: Check field cable insulation and moisture on wiring trunk.
