Description

This communication module is commonly used in petrochemical plants, refineries, gas compressor stations, power plants and offshore platforms. It serves ESD emergency shutdown, burner management and turbine protection systems. It transmits safety alarm, process measurement and system status data from Tricon SIS to DCS or operator workstations, and receives remote command signals under defined safety restrictions.
Maintenance Advice Built-in diagnostics monitor link interruption and communication failure.
- Wear anti-static wristband when installing or removing this module.
- Check LED status and communication heartbeat signals during routine inspection.
- After replacement, download communication configuration and verify data transmission.
- Keep spare modules. If hardware failure occurs, replace the whole card instead of repairing individual parts.
Troubleshooting Guide
- No communication connection: Check network cable connection, IP configuration and port enable status.
- Intermittent data loss: Inspect network interference, loose connectors and redundant link switching logic.
- Module fault alarm: Check rack power supply and module insertion status, run TMR self-test.
- Data cannot be transmitted after replacement: Confirm configuration download and network parameter matching.
- Port link down: Verify cable integrity and switch port working condition.
