Description
Hardware & Electrical Specifications
‑ Manufacturer: Bently Nevada (Baker Hughes) ‑ Compatible System: 3500 series TSI machinery‑protection rack, for TMR triple‑redundant system, matches M‑series monitor cards ‑ Functional Type: Old‑Generation TMR‑version Transient Data Interface TDI Main Board ‑ Install Slot: Fixed Slot‑2 beside power‑supply slots of 3500‑05 rack ‑ Power Consumption: 10.8 W, powered by rack backplane bus ‑ Front‑panel: USB‑B service port, RUN/PROGRAM key switch, rack reset button, multi‑LED status indicator (OK, COMM, FAULT, TMR‑ALARM) ‑ External Communication: Dependent on rear I/O card: 10/100 Base‑TX copper or 100 Base‑FX fiber Ethernet ‑ Hot‑swap: Supports hot‑swap. After hot‑swap, rack hardware protection keeps running; TMR comparison and upper‑computer data transmission are temporarily interrupted. ‑ PCB Coating: Conformal coated for G3 harsh industrial cabinet environment
Environmental Specifications
‑ Operating Temperature: 0 °C ~ +60 °C ‑ Storage Temperature: ‑40 °C ~ +85 °C ‑ Relative Humidity: 5%‑95 % non‑condensing ‑ Vibration & Shock: Complies with API‑670 power‑plant cabinet EMC standards
Mechanical Data
‑ Dimension(W×H×D):25.4 mm ×120.7 mm ×251.5 mm ‑ Weight: approx 0.98 kg
Core Functions
- Rack communication gateway: Complete rack parameter download, read module status, alarms and event logs via configuration software.
- TMR channel comparison & voting: Real‑time data comparison for three‑way redundant monitor channels; report deviation fault for inconsistent channel, record system events.
- Steady‑state & transient waveform acquisition: Collect vibration, displacement, speed steady‑state values; capture high‑resolution dynamic waveform during start‑up, coast‑down and alarm events for mechanical fault diagnosis.
- Upper‑level system interconnection: Cooperates with rear Ethernet I/O card to upload data and events to System 1 condition‑monitoring platform.
- Rack status supervision: Monitor power‑supply health and module online status, report system‑level faults.
- Safety isolation: TDI fault will not block hardware trip output of TMR monitor cards.
Installation, Replacement & Critical Warnings
- Supports hot‑swap; protection trip function remains active during replacement, TMR comparison and data communication stop temporarily.
- Compatibility warning: ‑ 138607‑02 is dedicated for TMR rack; cannot use standard‑version 138607‑01 for TMR cabinet, TMR comparison function will be missing. ‑ Replaced by later‑generation 288055‑02; must verify rack firmware version before cross‑generation replacement, firmware mismatch leads to abnormal communication. ‑ Cannot directly replace old 3500/20‑125744‑02 RIM, backplane logic definition is different.
- Main board 138607‑02 does not contain rear I/O card; copper/fiber I/O card needs separate matching procurement.
- After replacement, check OK & TMR‑ALARM LED status, download complete rack configuration, verify Ethernet communication and TMR channel comparison function.
-
Common failure mode: Ethernet transceiver surge damage, USB port circuit damage, component aging.
